Adapter Installer

Fixed problem with the PATH environment variable. The Installer would corrupt the Windows PATH variable: sometimes, files in the Windows install directory could not be found anymore.

Known issues and problems

• It is recommended to reboot the computer after the installation of OpenWorld. Otherwise, you might get Java exceptions indicating that the Java classes installed by the OpenWorld installation procedure can not be found.



• Using the Default Backend option, in the Adapter Configuration, with a BusComponent configured for Activation will not work. You should explicitly initialize a manager for such a backend. This is because your manager must be part of an UserSession.

Installing OpenWorld Adapter

Setup

This Setup installs the Baan OpenWorld Adapter, which is the OpenWorld Runtime environment.

Configuration

You can start the Adapter Configuration tool by checking "Start Adapter Configuration" during the setup or afterwards by starting Adapter Configuration via the START button.

Uninstall

OpenWorld can be uninstalled from the Windows Control Panel (Add/remove programs).
