The OnePoint Diagnostics Portal has features to offer services across software layers. These features are grouped under service scans. A service scan can be defined as an entity that acts across several connections.
You can add a service to the configurable tree (in the folder list) by right clicking on any tree node which can contain a service. Examples of such nodes are "OnePoint Diagnostics", "Remote Servers", "Diagnostic Scans" and manually created folders. Further details are available via the hyperlinks below.
There are two types of scans:
A number of scans have been predefined already. They include:
The System Viewer is a scan which allows you to review your system's configuration settings. See the help page on System Viewer for more information.
The other three scans are part of service offerings. Running such a scan results in scan output which can be sent to the Business Intelligence Center that will analyze this scan output to help you optimize your system. See the services page for more information.
Customized scans can be totally created and configured by the user. These scans are not supported at the Business Intelligence Center. The output of these scans are available for viewing immediately after execution. A customized scan has high value potential in allowing the user to make his own cocktail service that suits specific needs.
See the help text on customized scans for details how to create them.
