Client Installation - Java Wizard
The following steps are involved in client installation by means of the Java
wizard:
Screen 1 (introduction):

- The introductory screen gives an explanation to the purpose of the wizard.
Press "Next" to proceed.
Screen 2 (installation path):

- On the "Installation Path" form, click the "Browse..."
button.
Screen 3 (browse functionality):

- Navigate to a directory of your choice.
- Optionally create a new sub-directory (for instance named "ClientFiles")
by means of the "Create New Folder" icon. After
creating the new folder, change directory to the newly created folder.
- In the "File name" field, a (non-existing) file name must be entered.
The default file name is "Directory chooser - file name will be dropped" (see the above
screenshot). The actual file name itself is irrelevant.
Note: At this stage, only default Java
functionality is available. Default Java functionality forces entering a file
name, even though it is not relevant.
- Click "Save" and then "Next".
Screen 4 (set classpath):

- After Screen 3, the client components get installed into the chosen
directory and the wizard displays a string which must be appended to your
CLASSPATH environment variable. Follow the instructions given by the Wizard.
- Click "Finish" to successfully complete client installation of
OnePoint Diagnostics Portal.
Screen 5 (installation succeeded):

- You are notified if completion of the client installation was successful
(if not then proceed to screen 6). Follow the given instructions to
double-check the CLASSPATH setting and to close the browser window. It is essential
to close the open browser window and start a new browser session, in order
to let the browser read the new CLASSPATH setting (otherwise you will return
to the client installation wizard again).
- After opening the new browser session, be sure to enter the correct
address. You will proceed to the system
check.
- If prompted to accept the security certificate,
do so (you don't see this screen if in the past you selected the option to
"Always trust content from SSA Global Technologies, Inc.").
- Finally, log on to the portal.
Screen 6 (installation failed):

- In case of any failure you will be faced with the above message. In such a
case close your browser, re-open and follow steps for screen 1 to 5 again.
