e have a Generic Item A with two components (generic item B and

generic item C). Generic item B and C have the same structure in gen.

itemdata, but different structure in gen. BOM. Only one of the items

are valid.

If we create a variant the customised structure are ok the first time.

If we then run a PRP, so there is a requirement of the customised item

(origin=B), and then change the variant so it wil use generic item C,

the customised BOM for the item with origin C is wrong.

Solution Description :

The problem is the following:

It is always possible to change options in a product variant. If you

do so after the product variant structure has been generated, that

structure and the sales order will not be updated in case certain

restrictions were valid (like the presence of PRP orders, a phantom on

the sales order line etc.)

This call removes all these restrictions. Thus, the product variant

structure will always be updated and if the sales order allows it (no

deliveries f.i.), also on the sales order.

Besides a report has been added which shows which sales orders have

been processed, and error messages.

non-working day which was set by company calendar, planned MPS order

This means duplicate order release of Planned MRP Order.

2. Also, requirement start date of rough material requirement date and

requirement finish date were generated face in the opposite side.

Solution Description :

When using session "Generate Master Production Schedule"

(timps3201m000) to generate Rough Material Requirement the finish date

becomes before start date of the requirements when the plan period

does not have workable days.

Also an other problem was called, which says:

When there is a demand within a mps-period without workable days

both mps-production orders and Rough material requirements are

generated for the same demand.

This is the way MPS works.

If there is a demand on a holiday period, production orders are moved

outside the holiday.

After then MPS generates critical material requirement, MPS will do

this for all planned receipts which are NOT consumed.

Production orders consume planned receipts for their own period.

When in session (timps1101m000) Maintain Plan Codes the field Backward

Planned Receipt Consumption has a value (1 period + 1 day, by rule of

thumb) also planned receipts within this period of time will be

consumed.

Other problems are solved by this ID.

The valid revision will be selected for the selected E-item. If the

revision is does not contain the order line item, then that particular

revision will not be selected.

If a revision exists (and is expired) and if there is no other

revision existing (either released/unreleased), then the previous

revision is selected (if the order line is satisfied)

If a revision exists (and is expired) and if there is another revision

which is unreleased and without a BOM, the expired revision will be

selected with the message about the EBOM for the unreleased revision.

IF a revision exists (and is expired) and if there is another revision

with a EBOM (and does not contain the component to be replaced), then

the E-item is not selected.

In other words, always the last revision for an E-item is selected. If

this revision satisfies the order lines condition, then that revision

will be a part of the ECO line (even if it is expired). This is true

because even if the revision is expired, the present structure of the

physical item (standard/customzied) linked to the E-item contains the

BOM structure of the expired revision. If there exists a revision

(created manually or by an ECO) after the expired revision and if

there exists a BOM for this newly created revision and if the order

lines are not matched, then that E-item will not be selected.

this item cannot be issued.

-situation 2:

If an item is blocked because of a cycle count procedure than you

have the same output. This item is not on the Issue report and no

message although there could be enough available stock.

-situation 3:

If an item is blocked because of inspection, than part of the stock

is blocked than the item will be on the Issue report with a shortage.

However if you do session tisfc0418m000 it will be not on the

shortage list because here there is only a check on the inventory on

hand. In this case the inventory on hand is the total on hand

quantity although part of this stock may be blocked for inspection.

The column 'Issue Block' on the report resulting from session

tisfc0418m000 only will indicate a blockage when the issue is blocked

by a signal code and not in any other case.

Should the blocking of an item not be handled in the same way in those

three circumstances! Should there not be some kind of message or error

report why a certain item could not be issued? Especially in situation

3 you have a report that indicates a shortage and on a other report

The sessions "Issue Stock" (tisfc0207m000) and "Print Stock

the following:

"Issue Stock": This session generates two reports; Issued and

Shortages, On the first one, the issued inventory is printed. On the

For a manufactured item with no BOM or routing and zero standard

cost, sales and production orders can be created; however, there

is a problem while performing inventory adjustments.

In 4.0b2, the system will not allow for any activities in ilc,

sfc, sls, ilc, pur when "Last CP Trans Date" is not filled in on

the item master. This is OK.

But with cost price structure of zero and "Last CP Trans Date" filled

in, the system will allow for activities in sfc and ilc, but will not

allow for activities in inv, sls, and pur.

Solution Description :

In case a manufactured item has no cost price data (no routing, no

materials, no surcharges), a cost price of zero is stored in the

costprice tables, and so the system will allow activities in all of

the appropriate modules.
