When a new bugfixpatch is loaded into a customer's system, the patch/dump must be installed on a temporary directory (e.g. /tmp or ${BSE}/tmp). All modified components of one VRC for the bugfix are composed together into one bugfixpatch. If the patch exists of components in multiple TRITON/BAAN packages, all components will be in that file (e.g. a problem is solved in B40_b4 in Finance and in Distribution, then one patch will be created which contains the components for Finance and for Distribution). If a problem is solved in multiple VRC's, then for each VRC a separate bugfixpatch is created (e.g. one for B40_b4 and one for B40L_b4_glo0).
After installing the dump, you must start the session "Import Patch (ttiex1284m000)". Screendump of this session:

+------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the field 'Path Patch File' specify the directory and the filename of the bugfixpatch to be imported.
At the field 'Path Runtime Dictionary' answer with the defaultvalue: ${BSE}/application .
At the field 'Overwrite' choose Yes or No if you want to overwrite or not overwrite a software component when it does already exist in the VRC wherein the bugfixpatch is imported . The solutiontext for a bugfixpatch always gives an overview of the modified components. Normally the answer on this question is 'Yes'.
At the field 'Delete patch file after installation' choose Yes or No if you want to delete patch file after installation. Normally the answer is 'Yes', but in case you load the bugfixpatch into a test VRC first, it can be useful to save the bugfixpatch and not delete it.
At the field ' Write software components in other Package VRC' choose always 'Yes' . The VRC wherein Baan created the bugfixpatch will never exist at a customer's system, therefore you need to import in another VRC.
At the field 'VRC' specify the VRC wherein the bugfixpatch must be imported (when answer on previous question is 'Yes'). This VRC is at most Baan customers a special Update or Patch VRC, which is in the VRC tree between the highest standard VRC and the customization VRC.
After maintaining all fields on the form, start 'Continue Process' at the choicefield, and the software components of the bugfixpatch will be imported.
